Install:

• on Ubuntu/Debian-based Linux:
  • olp-dbtools_0.5_all.deb [ar: 5.9 kB]
  • run “olp-dbtools”
• on Windows:
  • Install dependencies:
    • python (tested with 2.5.x, should work with 2.6 as well)
      • python-2.5.2.msi
    • pygtk
      • pygtk-2.12.1-2.win32-py2.5.exe
      • pygobject-2.14.1-1.win32-py2.5.exe
      • pycairo-1.4.12-1.win32-py2.5.exe
      • gtk2-runtime-2.14.3-2008-09-25-ash.exe
    • python-sqlite (1.0.x)
      • pysqlite-1.0.1.win32-py2.5.exe
  • Download pyw:
    • olp-dbtools-0.5.pyw.bz2 [bzipped: 3.4 kB]
  • unpack it and run it.
• or Source (for Mac OS, other Linux’es):
  • olp-dbtools-0.5.pyw.bz2 [bzipped: 3.4 kB]

Older Releases can be found in the archive. This tool offers several Database Cleaning Functions, like removing commas and full stops from song titles, remove unused authors, split authors delimited by commas, … It includes similar functionalities from gushie’s Song Title Punctuation Remover, but mine just doesn’t destroys German umlauts (ä,ö,ü,…) and other special characters, and it handles a lot more tasks.
